The Walt Disney Corporation wanted to turn it into a ski resort but
the Sierra Club objected, and saved this pristine wilderness. Our
50 mile loop goes up Franklin Pass to the Big 5 Lakes, past Little
5 Lakes, over Black Rock Pass, and ends up back at Mineral King. The
backside of Mt.Whitney can be seen from Little Arroyo Creek.Approximate running time: 10 minutes
